Otters Toastmasters Club, Brunei

Yesterday Genevieve and I attended the Otters Toastmasters Club meeting at the OGDC in Seria, Brunei. It was a great evening with a good turnout. The table topics session by Richard was challenging. In-coming President TM Lan was asked to present her vision for her term in 2 minutes impromptu and she rose to the occasion! The three manual speech speakers were outstanding; Steve delivered CC2 "Winning by losing" with great polish and mastery; Rosli delivered CC2 "Tuition" with parental insights and conviction while President Nurliana delivered ATM-G 9 "How to teach sex" with credibility and impactful statistics on teenage pregnancies. The Toastmaster, TM Tony was humourous in his chairing of the evening"s meeting. Overall a wonderful evening of motivated, talented and great fellowship. I enjoyed myself and it was worth the 45 minutes drive to and from home.

I realized, again, that successful people are always learning new skills as shown by these great communicators attending an evening TM meeting to improve even more! So what have you done to be a better communicator lately?
